In my decade spanning art practice, I have explored Ceramic through various techniques and yet today, I feel the rawness of the medium is what explains my work the most. Starting from the very technical aspect of this medium, I learnt about Ceramics while studying in Sir J.J School of art, Mumbai where I began my art journey. It was during this time that I stated creating various colorful and compositional utility products in Ceramics. During this period, I took great joy in learning the techniques of Ceramics which helped me in understanding the medium well and also in developing a great skill of handling this medium.

Later, during my MFA period in Santiniketan, I started experimenting with clay and produced a number of works which later became the foundation of my creative thinking process. These works were much different from the previous ones and were more inclined towards my surrounding elements which explained my thought process. During this time period, I also got the opportunity to be able to study in France for a period of six month. It was during this period that I realized the need to be able to be more creative rather than just being skillful. Since then, I have been exploring Ceramics by expressing my thoughts about my surrounding through it. My whole experience of working in this medium has given me many opportunities in India as well as in abroad to study and/or showcase my works at various platforms.

Currently, I'm pursuing my PhD in Ceramics and Glass from Visva Bharathi University, Santiniketan, Bolpur, West Bengal, India.
